What is Outdoor Education at BMS?
Outdoor Education is a truly interdisciplinary class in which students learn and develop skills in the areas of team building, wilderness first aid, mountain biking, navigation survival skills, archery, fly fishing and more.
 
Students who take Outdoor Education in the Winter are introduced to basic snow pack science and avalanche awareness while those who take it in the Fall are introduced to Wildland Fire science. 
 
Why Outdoor Education? 
It's good for the brain cognitive functioning.
It leads to better Physical Health as well as enhanced Social Development.
It fosters skills that will allow students to work and play for the rest of their lives.
