Dear Bayfield School District Families,
We are pleased to announce the partnership with The Bayfield School District and the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County to provide a free, Friday Enrichment Program for BSD school age students up to the age of 14. The Friday Enrichment Program will take place each Friday during the school year that students are not in school. Age-appropriate enrichment activities and programs in the areas of academic success, character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles will be provided. Breakfast and lunch will be available each Friday at the normal school lunch prices.
Important Note: In order to provide an enriching experience for the students, the Boys & Girls Club is unable to accept drop-ins for Fridays and the student must be properly registered.
Students who attend Bayfield Primary School and Bayfield Intermediate School will attend this programming on-site at Bayfield Intermediate School. Bayfield Middle School students will be bussed to the Boys & Girls Club facility in Durango as well as the Durango Recreation Center which is right next door. All students will start and end their days at Bayfield Intermediate School.
District bus transportation will be available to and from the Intermediate School, but only at select pick-up and drop-off locations, depending on participation.
