FLC regional science fair

Trip Purpose:
- Students will attend the Science Fair at Fort Lewis College as part of their Science curriculum.
- This experience connects directly to classroom learning and allows students to present and engage with real-world scientific projects.
Date & Day:
- Wednesday, February 4, 2026
Location:
- Fort Lewis College
Schedule & Return Time:
- Awards Ceremony: between 3:15 PM and 4:15 PM.
- If students do not go home with their parents, the group will return to school by 5:00 PM.
Grade Levels Attending:
- 6th and 7th grade students
Number of Students:
- Approximately 7 students
Staff Attending:
- Ms. McSweeney
- Ms. Sibley
Dismissal After Awards:
- Students may be picked up by their parents at Fort Lewis College after the awards.
- Any students not picked up will return to school with the staff.
Permission Slips:
- Families will be informed on January 26, 2026.
- Permission slips are due by January 28, 2026.
- Paperwork will be returned to advisory teachers.
Meals & Lunch:
- No sack lunches are needed for this trip.
- Students will not require school lunches that day.
Cost:
- There is no cost to families.
Transportation:
- Transportation will be provided through the district.
