Purpose of the Trip

Students will visit San Juan College as part of their Career Explorations experience. This trip offers hands-on insight into potential career pathways and allows students to learn more about college programs, campus life, and future education options.

Who’s Going

All 8th-grade students will attend this trip, accompanied by Bayfield Middle School staff.

Meals

• Students will need sack lunches for this trip.

• Please indicate on the permission form whether your child does not need a school-provided lunch.

• Students may bring bus snacks and should pack warm clothes, as portions of the day will be outdoors or involve walking between campus buildings.

What to Bring

• Warm clothes suitable for November weather

• Bus snacks

• Personal water bottle

• Sack lunch (if not receiving a school lunch)

No money is required for this trip.

Permission Slips

• Families will receive printed permission slips on October 28, 2025.

• Please return permission slips to your student’s advisory teacher by Monday, November 4, 2025.

Educational Connection

This field trip supports the Career Explorations curriculum, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world career and college experiences through a campus tour and interactive sessions at San Juan College.
