Complete this exercise AT LEAST 5 TIMES (for practice) before taking your screenshot. Attach your screenshot with the best percentage here.

*hint hint wink wink music hack* Watch the key signatures! Remember the rules about accidentals: they "cancel out" the key signature for that one measure.

**Whatever percentage you submit is the grade you get. Aim for 95% or higher! DO NOT submit a screenshot with 80% or lower.

Concert Reflection in Google Classroom

Concert Reflection

This is worth the remaining 25 points for your concert grade. EVERYONE is required to fill this out, even if you weren't at the concert.

Make sure you've watched the concert recording FIRST. If the link didn't work, we'll watch it together when I'm back.

You must use at least ONE COMPLETE SENTENCE per short-answer question. Use your spell-check on your computer. Make sure I can read and understand your answers.

Cop-out answers (text speak like IDK and IDC, no, none, N/A, etc.) will NOT count for credit.

10/20 Recording Assignment in Google Classroom

10/20 Recording Assignment

Record the 2 excerpts from Ghosts of the Lost Ship (from the announcement in the stream or on the board) with your entire section. Each person must be visible in the camera.

You may record in 1 or 2 videos. I need to know what excerpt is in your video. Do this by choosing one of these:
Rename your video file to the title of the piece and the measures
Verbally tell me in the video
Write a comment on the assignment
Only one person from your section needs to upload the video, but EACH PERSON IN YOUR SECTION clicks the "submit" or "turn in" button on this assignment when the videos are turned in.

You will NOT have more class time to record this. Today is it. Our concert is next week. We'll be prepping for that, not recording assignments.

Due:

10/19 Note Naming in Google Classroom

10/19 Note Naming

This is a note-naming exercise. You will have 2 minutes to name as many CORRECT notes as possible. Complete this exercise at least 3 times before taking your screenshot and completing the assignment. Take a screenshot of your BEST score and submit it here (DO NOT crop or alter your screenshot).

HOWEVER

Whatever percentage you submit is the grade you get. Complete this exercise as many times as you want. I'm looking for a high number of notes named AND a high percentage.

Watch the accidentals (sharps, flats, naturals). As 2nd and 3rd year players, I want to see how accurately and quickly we're naming notes. Aim for at least 50-75. :)

Link 1 - Treble Clef (flute, clarinet, sax, bass clarinet, trumpet, percussion)
Link 2 - Bass Clef (trombone, baritone, tuba)

When you have submitted your screenshot, you may:
Practice (HELLO! The concert is next week!) - you may practice with 1-2 friends in your seats
Study Hall
Read a book
NO COMPUTER GAMES

9/1 Recording Assignment in Google Classroom

9/1 Recording Assignment

Today, you'll record THREE of the SOE tunes you've been working on this week. Yes, at least three tunes.
You may submit three separate videos or combine them into one.
Please tell me, in your video, which tunes you're playing so I can grade accordingly.
This is your opportunity to show me how your practicing has been this week while I've been gone.
You may not record any pep band tunes.

The practice rooms are closed. Sorry. Yes, there will be background noise in your video; that's ok. Try to find a secluded space in the room to record. Your microphone on your computer will pick up your sound way more than other noise in the room.
